Scheduling Work

Use of the facility is on a first-come, first-serve basis. It is strongly suggested that electronic mail, and the resources at this web site be used in making appointments instead of relying on telephone communications or in-person requests.

Online Schedule

The online schedule is at… http://microbiology.utmb.edu/core/flowcore/schedule/curSched.shtml

It is non-interactive, thus you cannot directly pick the time you want. An email request must me made for the time you need, that is not already reserved on the published schedule.

Email Requests

Email appointments and cancellations must be used since they document and date your request, and can be made at any time. Mark Griffin can be reached through the UTMB email system. Please Note: An appointment is valid only after a request for time is confirmed by email from the flow cytometry lab. Cancellations can be made by email only.

Account Numbers

If you are a first time user, when making the email request, please state which investigator is responsible for the charges, and what account number (FRS number) is to be used. The account number should be valid for at least the month that the request is made.

Monthly Billing

The flow lab bills investigators for a month of their work at once, so it is not necessary to generate paperwork for each experiment.

Charges for Late Cancellations and No-Shows

Late Cancellations are charged the following fees:

FACS Scan $20
FACS Canto $30
Aria $60

No-Shows are charged as if all the time reserved for the appointment had been used.

Cancellations must be made by email only.
