Antimicrobial host defenses; nutrition in cancer and infection; molecular evolution.

Research Interests

Major research emphasis is on natural and synthetic defenses against viral disease and tumor growth: Investigation of host defense mechanisms against viral infection; models of medically important viral diseases; interaction of biological response modifiers and antiviral agents; interaction of immunomodulation and nutrition as an anti-tumor therapy.
