Antigen processing; T-cell presentation; mucosal immunity; H. pylori, inflammatory bowel disease.
My research interests focus on the regulation of T cell development and functions in mucosal inflammation. Research efforts in my laboratory are aimed at understanding the role of mucosal epithelial cells and myo?broblasts in local T cell regulation. The interactions of H. pylori and the gastric epithelium are being used as a relevant model system of chronic mucosal inflammation. Also, we are interested in understanding the H. pylori and host interactions that lead to in?ammation and tissue damage.
