Congratulations to two faculty members in our UTMB John Sealy School of Medicine on their recently announced research funding! Bin Gong, MD, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology; and, Lynn Soong, MD, PhD, Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, received a new multi-year funded exploratory research grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
This award supports their work on "Rickettsial CspA proteins and host microRNAs in exosome formation and pathogenesis." Congratulations, Dr. Gong and Dr. Soong!
