𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

Congratulations to Laura Dickson, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, on her recently announced research funding!  Dr. Laura Dickson received a new multi-year funded research grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

This award supports her work on the Title: "Assessing desiccation tolerance's impact on Aedes aegypti midgut infection", aims to understand how mosquitoes are changing as the climate becomes hotter and drier, and how those changes affect their ability to spread diseases to people.  This knowledge may support development of new mosquito-control strategies that reduce their ability to spread diseases.  Great work, Dr. Dickson!
